Come and join us experience the region’s best seafood delicacies coupled with great music at the iconic Te Hau Tutua Park – Whakatane Heads. Food specialists from throughout the Bay of Plenty will be offering delicious seafood delights for sale from an array of food stalls. With the well-known and kiwi group Tomorrow People to headline the festival supported by some great local acts to keep you entertained throughout the day. Spend the day sampling the delicious variety of seafood offerings at the al fresco eating space and enjoy the on-stage entertainment while relaxing at Te Hau Tutua Park, The Heads. Our Whakatane Summer Seafood Festival will showcase the best food, entertainment and culture that our region has to offer.
Last year was an absolute scorcher, so we have organised extra shade and free water on site to keep you cool and hydrated.

General admission tickets only – $25
This includes festival admission, all-day stage entertainment, kids zone, access to all stalls and bar (R18) for the purchase of food and beverages. This is a whanau friendly event so why not bring your children (5 years old and under) free with a paying adult.
The Whakatane Summer Seafood Festival will feature various fun activities for the whole whanau to enjoy. Be sure to catch the entertaining Fish filleting competition, mussel shelling and eating competition. The Whakatane Seafood Festival is proudly supported by Ocean Ford, Haddocks Spray Painters, Gibbos, TumekeFM and SunFM.
