Youth cooking duo Conrad and Brianne Latimer have taken home the grand prize at this year’s inaugural Local Wildfood Challenge.
The challenge was the first of its kind to be held in the Eastern Bay of Plenty at Te Manuka Tutahi, Mataatua Whare.
The event showcased many talented locals, positively promoted the sustainability of our local food spread and featured loads of creative and tasty dishes made locally.
Winners this year included the grand overall winners, rangatahi Conrad and Brianne, as well as many other prizes for things such as best presentation, best gathering, as well as children’s divisions – a big congratulations to all who of those who took away prizes.
The event was an overall success thanks to this years judges, all the contestants who entered, as well all the sponsors who made it happen and the spectators who came along.
See you again next year!
