The Whakatāne District Council’s Transportation group advises that hotmix road resurfacing work will temporarily affect access at a number of locations in Whakatāne between 15 January and 30 January 2019.
Transportation Manager Martin Taylor says contractor Fulton Hogan Ltd will make every effort to complete the resurfacing work with the least possible disruption to nearby businesses and properties, and advisory letters will be delivered in each area, several days prior to work commencing.
“The table below shows the locations and expected days and times the resurfacing work will be undertaken,” he says. “However, progress with the work programme is weather-dependent, so it’s possible the timing could change, or that a scheduled closure could run for longer than the time advised. If that is the case, we’ll let people know via media and social media messaging.
“Work at these sites will be undertaken at night, to minimise traffic disruption, and road closures and well-signed detours will apply.”
