Whakatane is gearing up for foodie heaven, with Air Chathams Sunshine and a Plate food festival, 20th February-28th February!
Celebrate and share in the region’s lifestyle, artisan and wild food, hospitality, history and culture in a week dedicated to the best of it, right here in Whakatane, New Zealand’s Sunshine Capital and home to Ōhope, NZ’s best beach.
Best of all, is that all event proceeds go directly to Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty’s care of the community.
It’s a week to taste, learn, laugh and indulge at dozens of events including Cocktails A’Shore, celeb dining, Gibbo’s Bucket List Banquet, Sunshine Gourmet Markets, Hamertons Vintage High Tea, Electrolux Master Class with Ray McVinnie and cooking demos galore!
This year’s organisers Ray McVinnie, Sophie Gray, Frankie Walker, Mawera Karetai and Teresa Valentine can’t wait!
